Anyone who knows about the GG and has Wiki editing permissions, please help. Do not steal from other Wikis(Yes, Especially Wikipedia).

Or post in here if you can't or don't have edit rights.
Please use wiki syntax for headings, e.g. !History for a top-level heading.
You don't need to censor "Ni****do" on the main site, that is just some forum fun. The Game Gear doesn't have more memory than the Master System. What evidence is there that they based it on the SMS in order to release it quickly? The Mega Drive was somewhat based on the SMS too, but that's just a logical progression which aids backwards compatibility and new game development. The Mark III was based on the SG-1000, which I think was based on Sega arcade game hardware. None of these were particularly rushed. It may be worth linking back to here from the wiki page: (:include Site/ForumLink topic=14893:)

The Game Gear doesn't have more memory, but it's worth mentioning that it has a larger color palette (4096) than the Master System (64). Also, an important fact worth mentioning is that it's the third color portable system. It came after the Atari Lynx (1989) and the NEC TurboExpress/PC Engine GT (1990).
It is advisable to change the title from "GG" to "Game Gear". |

I added more info and linked it to this post.
From Wikipedia: With a late start into the handheld gaming market, Sega rushed to get the Game Gear into stores quickly,[6] having lagged behind Ni****do in sales without a handheld on the market. They based it on the SMS so they didn't have to make a new system entirely. |

Is it possible to turn things like "Gear to Gear cable" into wikilinks to the relevant pages? Wikis are so much better with dozens of useless links.

I personally do not know. I think Admins can do it, but I'm not sure.

To create this kind of link just write [[GearToGearCable|Gear to Gear cable]] |

Yes, I know it can be done, and how (for the record, you did it wrong), I already edited this wiki in the past. I was just wondering if it was appropriate, I am sorry, I didn't make it clear. What I really meant was: should I?
However, I did it. It's revertable anyway. Also lol at Capt. 2110 catching at straws trying to become an administrator at any cost. |

Shouldn't the Gear to Gear cable be in the Hardware section instead of the Development section?
Why did you start this page copying the contents of http://www.smspower.org/Hardware/GameGear instead of updating the existing page? |

Don't ask me, I only provided the pictures and the pinouts. |

The Hardware section is for describing stuff in a non technical way with photos. Development is for the gorey details of pinouts, NMIs and serial vs parallel mode. The two can be linked to each other.
If something is hardware then make a dead link for it, by all means. The game pages used to link to "GG", now they link to "Game Gear". I've set up a redirect and let's work on the long name version. |

http://www.smspower.org/Hardware/GameGear instead of updating the existing page? (Capt. 2110 can't do quotes for some stupid reason) I didn't. I made that page while the other one was at that stage. Can I change the name of the pages? Edit: Never mind :) |

I am not catching straws. Whatever that means. I just saying Bock or Maxim could do it. I do not know HTML... at ALL. |

Thanks, Maxim! I am useless at most of this. |
