Stumbled on an older thread on Sega8bit.com, I'll copy it below:

Turns out that not only did Power Rangers get cancelled in 1997, but at least 6 other games did as well! This was due to Tectoy running out of money and unable to pay for the copyrights and eventually filing for bankruptcy.

The 7 cancelled games were:

Power Rangers: The Movie
Toe Jam & Earl
Beavis & Butthead
Urban Strike
Home Alone (Never got a Brazilian release)
Halley Wars (This was released as Space Battle on the Game Gear)
Fantasy Zone 1 (Never got a Brazilian release)

Unfortunately most of the prototypes for these games have been lost

Toe Jam & Earl on Master System? I doubt they'd code it from scratch...

Excellent share Omar and well spotted Ricky. I love seeing stuff like this.

Power Rangers The Movie would have been a great addition; this game is really good!
If it had arrived between 95-96, it would have been even more impactful.
