I'll have a friend buy it this week-end, if someone wants it, it is 3100 yens. I can grab some and ship.

( Contest winners I suppose may be eligible for one if they are sick of waiting for a tshirt design to come up? or not - a custom t-shirt shall have more cool-factor longevity )

if that alex kidd cover could be made into a t-shirt, it would be a kickass "custom" t-shirt, imho.

what are the color limitations on the t-shirt ? I can probably try to come up with some ideas.

I'm not sure; but the art style is closest to Enchanted Castle so they may be from there. The green-haired one is the one you rescue after beating Janken the Great in Miracle World. The European manual calls her "Princess Lora", fiancée of "Egle" (Igul).

I think the girl in blue might be Stella from the arcade version of Lost Stars.

Here's the j-rock rendition of Alex Kidd's song from the album.

It is sung by Takenobu Mitsuyoshi who did the music and vocals for plenty of Sega games ( see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takenobu_Mitsuyoshi ).

Incidentally we met him at a party a few months ago, and he sung us the famous Daytona and Burning Ranger themes. It was pretty memorable (and in a funky location on the roof of a building, late night). I did not know he made that Alex Kidd song cover back then.

Bock, that track is really good. Is there any chance someone can get a hold of the Alex Kidd album?

I have the album and bought a copy for a few people who asked for it (including Mike C who is terribly delayed, sorry Mike). I don't even know if it is still available, it was sold as some otaku event only as far as I know.

Ah ok, no worries. I will just have to admire the picture of the cover then :)
