STORY

You’ve secured pole position and you’re clear of the field. But this is Monaco and a momentary lapse of concentration could mean the difference between certain victory and failure. Not to mention, you’ll have to navigate your way around the backmarkers, and some of them seem less than keen to move aside. Prove to them that you are the true Monaco Master!

GAMEPLAY

Dodge the backmarkers to beat the high scores! Watch out though as while your laptimes continue to improve, it seems that they are getting even slower, so quick reactions are a must!

CONTROLS

Title Screen:

LEFT/RIGHT - Change Game Mode

UP/DOWN - Change Difficulty

1 - Start Game

2 - Enter Sound Test Mode

PAUSE - Reset High Scores to Default

Sound Test:

UP/DOWN - Move Cursor

1 - Play Song

2 - Return to Title Screen

PAUSE - Change Sound Mode (available options are PSG, FM, FM + PSG)

(For non-FM systems the PAUSE button will have no effect, and for Mark III units with the FM Sound Unit installed the FM + PSG mode will not appear).

In-game:

LEFT/RIGHT - Move Car

PAUSE - Pause/Unpause Game

MODES

Type-1: 4 rows, each consisting of 1 car

Type-2: 2 rows, each consisting of up to 2 cars

Type-3: 1 row, consisting of upto 4 cars

NORMAL and MASTER difficulties determine the starting speed of the approaching cars, however apart from that the gameplay is identical.
