Game Gear Fluorescent Tube Voltage

I recently got done replacing all the capacitors in my Game Gear with new ones and I'm about to start work on an LED mod for it. What is the voltage/wattage/amps on the fluorescent tube?
I'm going to replace the tube with 4 LED lights, 2 on each side, and I'm going to wire them up to a switch to adjust the brightness. Will this LED [link below] work? And as for the 3 brightness settings, what ohms of resistors should I use? jameco[DOT]com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&productId=1950825 |

The tube runs at several hundred volts and couple mA. It is not useful for the LEDs. | |

Remove the circuit that amplifies the voltage. That will fix the "My LEDs keep exploding in my face!" issue.

"My LEDs keep exploding in my face." xD
They are right though. remove everything associated with the tube, it will do nothing but suck energy. Tap into +5v somewhere else. |
