mark iii power supply

hello all
i picked up a sega mark iii off ebay last night, its a barebones system that does not come with a power supply. does it use the same power supply as the us master system or will my search be more complicated?
i tried using google to avail

I used a generic AC adapter on my Mark III that output 9V DC, where the tip is negative and the ring is positive. No problems.
I'm pretty sure the SMS/SMS2/Genesis power adapters are configured like that, it will be printed on the adapter case itself if you want to double check.

I use mine with a european MD power supply and encountered no problems
