How many levels does this game have? I killed the boss of level 4 then the game ended but the ending said that the mother alien had boarded the escape craft and that the nightmare was not over. I have done some research on the net and the Game Gear version is very similar to the Amiga version. The Amiga version has 5 levels and level 5 is the final boss. Do you have to play Alien Syndrome twice though on the Game Gear so that you can fight the ifnal boss or do you have to rescue every single prisoner?

You have to play it on "Hard."

Thanks for that. I'll give it a go on hard.

Played it through twice and completed it. I can see no option menu that allows you to select "hard" as the difficulty level.

Okay, I guess I was wrong about that. To access the options, BTW, press 1, 2, 1, 2.

This game is too hard, and no fun to play... I'm stuck on the 2nd level.

Everytime I try to give it a go I'm disappointed by sudden deaths... The second boss, cmon! If you lose the laser you can't kill him ??
