Split it at the cartridge base using your fingers. It's held together by a large plastic clip.
Edit: This is assuming it's an SMS cartridge. You have to pull incredibly hard and the circuit board may fly across the room as a result...

yeah SMS ones. I noticed theres a hole which looks like a screw could go there, but it has no screw in it so I got confused.

That's the main plastic clip. Focus your energy on that part as it's very strong. It's a circular "plug" into a circular "socket".
